The Central Avenue Bridge geotechnical boring program will begin Wednesday, July 5th and should be complete before July 14th, weather permitting. Work is expected to be completed during daytime hours, and traffic is expected to remain open in both directions on Central Avenue. Alternating traffic may be necessary at times on Hudson Street to accommodate work vehicles. The work being performed is part of the current Local Concept Development Bridge Study. The borings will help obtain information on the physical properties of subsurface soil and rock around the bridge. That information will contribute to discussions about future redesign or repair considerations.
The first Public Information Center (PIC) will be held on Monday, March 20, 2017.
